DIGITAL $20 - Digital picture with flat colors (no shading) $30 - Digital picture with cel shading $50+ - Digital picture with soft shading $20+ - Furcadia portrait (price depends on complexity) If you see a picture you like in my gallery and would like something like that, but don't see it listed here, just ask! Extras: *Add half the base price for each extra character *Add $15-$30 for a complicated background (one that has actual objects and perspective, etc., price is higher depending on complexity). *For a bust shot (shoulders and head) of any of the above options, take half off the base price. Process: 1. We agree on what you want (including subject matter and material) and the price. 2. I do the sketch and send it to you for approval (if it's just a sketch you want, then skip to step 4). 3. If you approve of the sketch, you send me the agreed upon payment. 3. I finish up and send you the finished image. If it's a project that is going to take a long time, I will send WIPs (works in progress) every so often. I ask for full payment before I start serious work because, sadly, it has happened to me that I have almost completed a large commission and then the commissioner was not able to pay. It feels wrong to scrape the meat off the bone. After I pull away the thick, moist outer muscles, there's a long, soft tendon, the same color as the bone. I know it's not part of the bone, because the texture is different, but it's attached so perfectly, it seems like it could be.
The little dip in the surface, where, underneath, the bone and the muscle are two separate things, is softly shiny. I scratch at it with my metal fork, and it feels wrong to do so. It's frightening to have to detach my sustenance from something so hard and inedible.
